Why people remove pages
Nearly always because a document contains more than the recipient should see, or more than a form will accept. A bank statement where only one month is relevant. A scanned booklet with blank versos between every sheet. A contract where the appendix runs to forty pages nobody asked for.
The blank-page case is the most common of all: duplex scanners faithfully capture the empty back of every sheet, doubling the page count for no information at all.

Common questions
Does removing pages reduce quality?
No. The pages you keep are copied across untouched, so text stays selectable and images keep their full resolution. Only the removed pages are gone.
Will the file get smaller?
Usually yes, roughly in proportion to what you removed - but not always. If the pages you deleted were light on content and the ones you kept carry the scans, the saving is small. Run the result through the compressor if you need a specific size.
Can I remove every page?
No, and the tool refuses to. A PDF with no pages is not a valid file and most readers will not open it. Keep at least one.
Is this the same as splitting?
They are two sides of the same operation. Splitting asks which pages you want to keep; this asks which you want gone. Use whichever is less typing for your document.
